Suddenly Gone
“Andrea, Valentina, hi. Lovely to see you. Feel free to wait here, it’ll be only a few moments before Sandra comes to the front,” Sally said. Andrea cocked her head to the side, confused. She’d never had to check with Sandra, the manager, before going to see her dad. A few seconds later, Sandra rounded the corner, a small but tight smile on her face. “Andrea, hi. We were going to wait until after the weekend to call you,” Sandra said. Andrea’s heart started to beat faster as she waited for whatever Sandra had to say next. “Unfortunately, your father is missing,” she continued.
