Utter Disbelief
Andrea’s mouth dropped open. “What do you mean, missing?” she said. Suddenly, it became hard to breathe, but Andrea tried her best to listen to Sandra as she explained that they had gone in to check on Edgar yesterday morning, only to find him and most of his stuff gone. Andrea looked down at her daughter and told her to go play with Sally. Then she turned back to Sandra and looked at her very seriously. “Sandra, you’re going to explain to me everything you know. Then, we’re going to discuss what our next steps are,” Andrea said sternly. If her father had really disappeared without a trace, they had a lot of work to do.
