The Fall
Edgar had tried to come downstairs, but when he went to put on his house shoes, he’d tripped and fallen down the first few stairs—hard. Andrea ran to help him up, but when she had gotten him standing up, he winced and stumbled forward, almost taking them down together. It took all of Andrea’s strength, but she managed to keep him upright as they hobbled down the stairs. She immediately led him outside to the car and drove him to the hospital. A fall this severe couldn’t have been good for her dad.
