It may seem like a bargain to use Costco’s cheaper Gold Star membership option, which is available at $60 per year versus their Gold Star Executive membership, which is sold for $120 a year, but there are some perks to the Executive membership that can make this a better deal for frequent Costco shoppers. Executive members can get two percent cash back on most Costco purchases up to $1,000 per year, which could end up cancelling out the total price of your membership.
