A Fixation
Shannon Hiramoto, a native of Kauai, spends the majority of her time scouring through thrift stores in search of a specific style of dress, namely vintage muumuus. Muumuus are found to be particularly flattering and loose-fitting. Shannon explains, “My hobby is hunting for muumuus, specifically vintage ones.”
She was overwhelmed with joy when she stumbled upon an entire section of muumuus in a Salvation Army in Lihue. As she cheerfully started to pull them one by one from their hangers, something caught her attention that left her utterly baffled.
