MJ Rodriguez
MJ Rodriquez came to terms with her gender when she started acting and realized she was transgender with the experience of playing as characters. After accepting her gender and welcoming it, she found success in a series about transgender women’s life in the late 80s, as Blanca on FX’s Pose, who was also a woman of colour.
She became the first trans actress to win a Golden Globe, definitely making a mark on history, and furthermore, received an Emmy Nomination for her leading role.
