Getting Back
The respite was a welcome one but all too soon, it was time to head out again. Ellis wasn’t the type to shirk his duties but he felt very lethargic today.
Reluctantly, he hauled himself out of the diner and made his way out to the car again. His mind was on his patrol route, trying to figure out which parts of the town to cover next. Instead, he was called into duty much sooner.
