The Open Road
Ellis left the diner and joined one of the main roads. It was a long stretch without much scenery to speak off. He silently cursed the heat, waiting patiently for it to subside, even a little.
The gas station was soon behind him. The road became a lonely one and Ellis settled in for the next few hours of his shift. That was when he spotted something up ahead.
