The Police’s Response
While dealing with the roller-coaster of emotions, Rachel was unsure of the best course of action. In the back of her mind, she knew that the role of the police is to uphold the law and stand up for the vulnerable. Rachel thought that by going to the authorities, she’d be able to throw the law in Alistair’s face and get her money back. So, off to the police she went, but was shocked by their response.
