Mark Twain Manuscript In a Trunk
After being lost for more than a century, the 665-page handwritten manuscript of Huckleberry Finn was discovered in 1991 in a trunk located in an attic. Comparing the original source text to this copy of the book, it was discovered that there were significant differences. Initially, the Mark Twain Project at U.S.C. thought that the copy of the document was lost after being sent to Buffalo, New York, however this proved to not be the case when the granddaughter of one of Twain’s close friends found the trunk.
