Mysterious Figures Seen on Alaskan Shore
Not long ago, some Alaskans were surprised to come across inexplicable figures standing in the icy and snow-covered shoreline of Point Woronzof, near Anchorage. Yet, it was soon revealed that these ethereal shapes were in fact an art installation created by Sarah Davies. Motivated by her personal battle with an unidentified illness, Davies crafted more than 85 human-like sculptures that symbolized the “human embodiment of large numbers of difficult encounters with uncertainty,” according to Buzzfeed News.
