Valuable Discoveries Unearthed In Strange Locations Around The World

“Witch Bottle,” Found In An English Chimney

Demolition contractors found a ‘witch bottle’ in a former Watford, England pub’s chimney. This 1800s artifact, filled with unidentifiable liquid, teeth, and glass shards was likely a talisman against witches. Interestingly, this property was the birthplace of Angeline Tubbs, the Witch of Saratoga who migrated to New York in 1761 to sell witch bottles and read fortunes. Although the materials value about $40, this item is priceless to historians.
