Long-Lost Ship and Treasure, Namibian Desert

Believe it or not, the remains of a Portuguese ship, the Bom Jesus, were discovered in an unlikely place – the Namibian Desert. The ship went missing five-hundred years ago off the coast of Namibia, and as the coastline receded, the Bom Jesus reemerged. A team was sent out to excavate the wreckage, and they unearthed two-thousand coins and tens of thousands of pounds of copper ingots, almost all still in perfect condition.
