They had been fighting a huge fire the night before and up to early in the morning and decided to drop by the nearest diner to get some coffee and food before heading home. The latest rescue had been especially tough, but they managed to put the fire out in the end — but although victorious, they were clearly exhausted. A huge cup of coffee was what they needed to wrap up a long night.
The signage for 130 Diner became visible as they drove and they decided to park, not knowing that this would turn out to be one of the most memorable days of their lives.
