Again, the thought of simply abandoning this job came to Jerry’s mind. There were too many unanswered questions. So much he didn’t know. For a hunter, that was a recipe for disaster.
He thought about simply returning to the woods, finding the security team, and telling them he had found nothing. He could just leave all the weirdness behind and wait for a more typical, less-paying job. A MUCH less paying job. He signed at that. Yeah right. As if he’d give up a king’s ransom.
