Becoming The Prey
It didn’t take long for him to hear sounds of pursuit from behind him; those otherworldly sounds that had drawn him closer just a few minutes ago now raised to a higher pitch in frenzy. Stuffing himself in a nearby hole and blocking it off with some of the available debris, Jerry covered himself with as much dust as possible. The debris would block their view, but he didn’t know if they could track him with scent. Hopefully, the dust would do the trick.
