Finding A Way Out
Jerry remained holed up in his hiding place for an unknown time. He could hear the sounds of the creature he had been running from as it moved up and down, searching for him. He didn’t move till he could no longer hear its sound.
After silence fell, Jerry counted to a hundred in his head. He made sure to count VERY slowly. It wasn’t until a few seconds after he had reached a hundred for the SECOND time that he decided to find a way out of his hiding spot. Luckily, he found a ladder leading upwards.
