From the first minute, James sympathised with the troubled whale. He noticed a pattern: every time the whale came up to the surface, it almost seemed like it was asking him for help.
It was almost like the whale knew that those people were coming over. Once again, it came up to the surface. James saw how its eye also resurfaced and faced him and his crew, like he was begging them to do something.
