Maintaining Contact
In spite of their distance, Dawnielle and Mike remained in contact. They were constantly in touch with one another via text, sharing updates and discussing personal matters. During their conversation, Dawnielle filled Mike in on her academic and extracurricular pursuits, as well as the fact that she is an avid athlete.
Mike couldn’t believe his luck in meeting Dawnielle after hearing all the wonderful stories of her athletic achievements in running and field sports. Mike felt like he was a part of everything happening in Dawnielle’s life. After all these years, they finally met, and both of them knew that Dawnielle owed her life to him. What came next from Dawnielle was a major shock to Mike.
