It was intended that once the persons were located, assistance in getting them back to the base would be provided. However, things were becoming challenging, and people were becoming exhausted. It seemed like they would have to set up camp for the night. However, everyone’s minds wandered to the radio message they’d received. They couldn’t just abandon those individuals to their fate.
