They had been walking for nearly two hours and suddenly, Steve stopped and stood still. Jessica hid behind a bush, just in case he would turn around – even though she assumed he wouldn’t do so anyway.
But, to her surprise, he did! He looked right in her direction and she quickly dove away so he wouldn’t see her. Only after a few seconds did she dare to look back up again. She didn’t want to lose him out of sight.
