A bag and a flashlight
As he put the backpack back on again, she saw that he had taken two things out of the bag. The first was a plastic bag, but she couldn’t see what was inside it. And the second was a flashlight, which only left her more confused than she already was. What did he need a flashlight for? It was still light outside, even in this dense part of the forest! This made no sense to her at all.
