She realized what was going on
After observing them for a while, Jessica was able to conclude something crazy. She wasn’t sure how exactly this happened or even how it was possible, but seeing as she was looking at it with her own eyes and it was very obvious, she had to believe it.
She waited for a little while longer, just until she could be sure enough that the bears wouldn’t hurt her when they saw her. And while she was watching them, something inside her actually softened and the anger and frustration towards her husband slowly disappeared.
