Finally telling the truth
Finally, Steven told Jessica the truth. He told her every single detail of the story and he apologized to her more times than he could count. He explained that he had never wanted to lie to her and to keep such a big secret, but before he realized it, he had fallen so deep into it, and he was just afraid of telling her the truth.
He begged her to forgive him and promised her that he would never lie to her ever again… But he would still not stop coming to these woods.
