The main problem was that a person that had no oxygen delivered through red blood cells in the brain for more than 20 minutes, is believed to sustain irreversible brain damage. Even if she survived, the odds of her having a normal life were slim. The paramedics knew that, that’s why they tried so desperately to resuscitate her, until the impossible happened.
