She knew the turmoil and struggles that came with addiction. She knew it could blur your decision making and take over your most basic moral codes but was it really an excuse?
Would she have ever done that to him when she was struggling? Her answer was quick. No. No, she would have never done that to him. There was no excuse for such vile behavior. She wanted revenge.
