Did someone give up Margaret for adoption?
Margaret’s grasp on the milk container was incredible. She wasn’t given up for adoption, at least not by her parents, who were listed as missing on a missing person’s register. No one explained why they hadn’t told her. She examined the milk container and saw that it had been produced approximately a week before she was taken in by the orphanage.
