Their Song
After getting into a taxi, they drove home eagerly. Robert’s wife looked into his eyes as she held his hand. He turned on the radio. He recognized the song, they had danced to it at their wedding.
Carol smiled at him, and they began to sing together. “You know,” she spoke just above a whisper, “you’re still the most handsome man I’ve ever met.” Robert was overcome by his love for the woman who had always stood by him through thick and thin.
“I love you more than anything,” he said, his voice emotional.
