Sue’s Addiction

From a young age, Sue had a serious addiction to shoplifting. She couldn’t explain exactly why she did it. She knew it was wrong. But when she saw other kids with fancy clothes and toys, she thought it was unfair. Why should they get nice things and not her?

This was the beginning of her dark obsession with shoplifting.

Sue’s Problem

Sue began by stealing a toy she desperately wanted that she knew her parents wouldn’t buy her. Nobody ever found out, which only convinced her that she could steal whatever she wanted as long as she was careful and didn’t get caught. So she started stealing things, again and again.

Until one day she suffered the consequences.

Sue Gets Caught

Sue was in a department store by herself. Her mom had gone into the dressing rooms to try on some sweaters. She saw a pair of expensive jeans she wanted. She’d already asked her mom if she could have them but her mom said they were too pricey.

So when she thought nobody was looking, Sue grabbed the jeans and stuffed them into a bag she was carrying.
