Woman Takes Home Dirty Toy Found On Street, Makes A Mistake

Vittoria presses play on her “getting ready” playlist and looks through her wardrobe to find the perfect outfit for the party tonight. As she delicately brushes her eyelashes with mascara, she hears a noise behind her.

She turns around suddenly but there’s nobody there, just her bed with a toy propped at the edge. She looks at the toy and turns back round to the mirror. But then she sees something in the reflection of her mirror. It was the toy. Slowly she gets out her phone.

She knew she needed to call for help.

Walking Through The City

A week earlier, Vittoria was making her way home through the city. As she walked along the crowded roads, a sense of nostalgia crept upon her. She saw all the places and spots where she spent her university years.

She smiles as she walks past a bench where she and a former boyfriend shared their first kiss. But then Vittoria stops in her tracks. Her mouth drops at the sight before her.

Taking A Closer Look

A dirty, stained toy was lying on the pavement while a group of pigeons pecked around it. The toy, which was a large dog-like toy, stared back at Vittoria as she shooed the pigeons away to take a closer look. The sound of city police sirens linger in the air, but Vittoria wasn’t phased.

She stared hard at the toy. She knew this toy was not just any dirty, stained toy, it was something so much more.

Childhood Memories

The toy, which Vittoria named Crackers, was given to her almost 18 years ago by her beloved grandma. But unfortunately, while Vittoria moved university halls, she lost a lot of valuable possessions, Crackers being one of them.

But like all 19-year-olds, Vittoria at the time was a university student eager to party and have a good time; so she didn’t even realize crackers had gone missing. As she takes a closer look at the supposedly 18-year-old toy on the floor, Vittoria knew she had to find the truth.

She Couldn’t Believe It

“What are the odds someone in my city had the exact same 18-year-old toy I had from my Nan?” Vittoria asks herself. This didn’t make sense! Confused, she gets out her phone and takes a picture of “Crackers” and sends it to her sister for clarification.

It turned out that Vittoria’s sister also thought it was the same toy! Amazed by what had just happened, Vittoria knew what she had to do.
