A Memory
There was a moment of silence. Louisa wondered whether the old lady had forgotten she was standing there. She seemed to be in a world of her own. Perhaps Louisa had taken her back in the past, and she was reminiscing about the good old days.
Louisa turned to sit back down, but then the old lady screamed, “Gone!” Louisa turned back, startled. As she stared at the old lady, waiting to see what she did next, she thought, “What was wrong with the people in this town?” The old lady continued to speak.
