Getting Closer to the Bird
Carmen made an attempt to approach the bird to investigate it, but the pain started to stop her. She sensed that she wasn’t welcome in this place. Yet she made the decision to push through the discomfort and simply move closer. Suddenly, her ear’s discomfort became so severe that it nearly caused her to pass out.
In agony, Carmen yelled. The bird’s high-pitched screech was causing her ears to burn. This bird didn’t want Carmen to get any closer. Carmen had to be aware of this. But soon, she was unable to take the pain in her ears.
