Last Goodbyes
He continued to deteriorate over the next few weeks. He was told one day that he would have to stay in the hospital for some time to come. It was obvious to Jemma what that meant. In front of his hospital bed, she gathered with her brothers.
It was their last goodbye, and they all wept. Jemma’s world was turned upside down.
She would never be able to forget it. Her father, however, wanted to tell her something.
