A development came in the form of another incident, this time at a Burbank salon. A woman had left an old iPhone behind at the salon in an attempt to prove her integrity.
She then declared that she was going to an ATM to get cash in order to pay for the appointment. But she never came back.
The woman’s description matched Melissa’s, giving the authorities hope that they’d catch her next time.
