Helen decided to confront him. One day when Paul got home from work, the woman was waiting for him. She got straight to the point and demanded that he tell her about this mysterious blonde woman.
Paul said nothing at all. The blonde woman, according to him, was a major client of his business. The lunches were only for commercial purposes. Helen’s friend added that the dinners they had together weren’t particularly romantic. Whatever the case, while she was present, they avoided touching. Helen could only trust her husband, yet something bothered her anyway.
