They Were Happy
Years passed quickly. Paul and Helen were ecstatically content with their relationship. Their two sons left home as adults, formed their own families, and matured. Even though nothing particularly remarkable ever happened in Helen’s life, she was more than happy with it.
For all these years, the wall in the living room housed the artwork that Paul had created for her. The painting was displayed in their house for 50 years. Helen had no clue that the painting contained a secret all these years. But after all this time, the mystery of the picture would be exposed, and many things would be clarified.
