Hidden Compartment
When Nadia looked into the box to take all the letters out, she discovered a hidden compartment beneath them. This made her curious, and she carefully removed a small velvet pouch from the compartment. Then, with trembling hands, she untied the delicate string and emptied the contents into the palm of one of her hands.
