Danger Lurking
He ran towards the open space, through the woods, where people had parked. The visitors were trying to make their escape, getting into their cars and locking the doors hoping for the best. It was apparent that there had been danger lurking.
The ranger had his gun with him because it had been grizzly territory, but he wasn’t planning on using it unless completely necessary. He sprinted through the parked vehicles but saw something that caught him dead in his track.
