Out of Patience
With a huff, Rachel pushed herself off the examination chair, her shoes squeaking against the linoleum floor. “Enough is enough,” she thought. Maybe there was a problem at the reception, or perhaps they had simply forgotten about her.
The hallway outside seemed like the best place to start. With every step, her determination grew. She’d get answers, one way or another.
The receptionist would surely have some information about her prolonged solitude.
