Desperate Measures
Determined to free herself, Rachel surveyed the room for any tools or objects that might help. She spotted a metal tray with some medical instruments. Grabbing a particularly sturdy-looking one, she wedged it into the door’s edge, using it as a makeshift lever.
With all her strength, she pushed and pulled, hoping to create enough force to break the lock. But the door remained steadfast.
Panting and defeated, she dropped the tool, its clang echoing her despair.
