Malaya and Dave usually disagreed on a number of issues. Most of their conversations ended in a fight, regardless of how mundane they were. With their son, however, things were different.
When Carey was involved, they usually came to an understanding and knew he was the only glue that held them together. Malaya would be notified immediately whenever anything good or bad happened to the two-year-old while she was away.
She was always kept in the loop.
