Anticipation
The family went home with the mysterious dog and Tom in the backseat. Tom had finally connected the dots and realised that this simply could not be Lucy. His parents were worried that he would have another sad episode, but the negative emotions did not come. He was happy that he had found a new friend and was hugging the Newfoundlander in the back of the car.
