Over time, Tom and Lucy became even closer pals. They would snuggle up for a snooze on lazy afternoons, and Tom even pleaded with his mom to let him bring his beloved buddy to kindergarten. Sadly, that wasn’t possible. But because of it, Tom would eagerly stare at the clock, longing for the hours to swiftly pass so he could reunite with Lucy at home.
