Heartbroken
Tom was heartbroken. He would sit outside for hours, calling out to the dog and hoping that he would come back. Tom was heartbroken. He couldn’t understand how his beloved dog could just disappear like that. A couple of weeks turned into a month, and Tom’s hope began to fade. His parents tried to console him, but nothing seemed to make him feel better.
