Tom began to blame himself for Lucy’s disappearance. He thought he should have done something more to keep her safe. But Tom didn’t give up on finding Lucy. He would search for her every day after school and they put up flyers around town. He even stayed up late at night hoping he would hear her barking outside his window. But nothing worked.
