Gently, Samantha awakened the baby hippo. He was grumpy and a little confused, but she didn’t think much of it. He was probably confused waking up in a new environment. She prepared for his veterinary visit, carefully loaded him into a transport vehicle and headed for the veterinary clinic. She was relieved that the animal was finally in her hands.
