A Kind Face
The manager called another security guard, telling him to ensure Melissa made it to her car. The guard had a kind face, kinder than the last guard. He was big and burly, towering over Melissa and the manager.
He offered to carry Melissa’s bag, even saying he could help her with little Hailey. But Melissa would let go of her kid.
Still, she was thankful for the man’s kindness. She should have known that even he wouldn’t protect her from what was coming.
