Dr. Henry Sebastian was on call that day, and he rushed over to see what had happened. He quickly realized that Sarah was pregnant and needed urgent medical attention because of a rare blood disease.
“I see you have no previous medical history recorded at any of the hospitals,” he said, peering over the top of his spectacles.
He wanted to help her, however, when he asked her about her insurance and payment method, she told him she had none.
