“After all I’ve done for you, you want to insult me with this?” the message said. Joe was completely baffled. Alina’s face was on fire as her worst fears came to life. “What are you even saying?” he wrote back to his mom, but he got no response.
After a few more minutes, he sent her another message: “Is everything okay, Mom?” He would soon find out that something about that photo just didn’t sit right with her.
