Soon, hours of being ignored by Mari turned into a whole day. Joe didn’t have a clue what had upset her so much. He scrutinized the photo over and over, looking for anything that may have rubbed his mother the wrong way. But everything looked totally normal; it was just a picture of him and his girlfriend smiling.
